Acid dipping for wheel restoration is a professional chemical process used to strip old paint, lacquer, and corrosion down to bare metal, preparing alloy wheels for a durable powder coat finish by dissolving contaminants in a controlled acid bath, followed by neutralization, rinsing, and then priming, painting, and baking for a factory-like result.
Straighten Alloy: £60
Straightening an alloy wheel involves a professional process of assessing damage, heating the bent area (annealing) for pliability, and using a hydraulic press or specialised tools with controlled force to gently reshape the metal, followed by cooling and rebalancing, with techniques varying from mild bends (cold rolling) to severe ones (heat, welding).
Weld: £85
A cracked alloy wheel is an automatic MOT failure as it’s a dangerous defect, but a professional, high-quality weld by a specialist is a safe, legal, and effective repair that allows the wheel to pass. The key is that the repair must be done properly with TIG welding and quality checks, ensuring it meets safety standards.

Your wheels are then water blasted to remove all acid and sand blasted to give the alloy an even finish. Then, we can paint, lathe, and lacquer the wheels so they’re as good as new.
Finishing with a triple-torque check, your wheels will be ready for the road – safety guaranteed.
